The top mounted with decorative pierced and studded brass corner brackets and an elaborate scrolling lock-plate adorned with a porcelain cameo plate polychrome painted with a cherub. The hinged back and sloped front opening out to reveal a section of lidded compartments and partitions to the back; one housing a glass inkpot with cast PATENT LONDON to the brass stopper, and a blue velvet lined writing slope to the front (A/F). 4¼” (11 cm) high, 12” (31 cm) wide, 10” (25.5 cm) deep.
