An Antique French Figured-Elm Housekeeper’s Cupboard composed of fine book-matched solid timbers with warm, rich golden colour and patination. The upper section having an ogee moulded frieze above two panel doors in moulded frames with rounded corners. The doors hung on metal peg hinges, opening to reveal a deep shelf and two shallow ledges within. The base section having two side frieze drawers with turned knop handles flanking a small, locking drawer to the centre with turned roundel escutcheon and key, above two further moulded panel doors below. Standing on moulded feet 91¼” (232 cm) high, 59¾” (152 cm) wide, 24½” (62 cm) deep.
