An Early 16th Century Cuir Boulli Tooled Leather Casket of rectangular form. The slightly domed lid having an iron swing handle to the centre and studded mounts protecting the corners. The leather cladding decorated with interlaced strapwork, trellis panel to the back and sides and daisy wheel quadrants to the front. Fitted with an iron lock and hook catches, 6” (15 cm) high, 10” (26 cm) wide, 7” (18 cm) deep.*
