Description
A Small Louis XVI Style White Marble & Gilt Bronze Marble Clock. The white enamelled dial with black Arabic numerals marking the hours within a ring of minute divisions numbered at 5 minute intervals, ornamented with intricately painted swags of pink rose garlands with gilt embellishments, and having ornately pierced and gilded hands. The dome-topped marble case surmounted by a pair of love birds, with a trophy of love adorning the front, pendant floral garlands to the sides and entwined trails of flowers and foliage to the rectangular plinth base on turned gilt feet, 8” (20 cm) high, 4½” (12 cm) wide, 3” (7.5 cm) deep.
