A Pair of Early 18th Century Oils on Canvas, Circa 1700; Portraits of Ladies representing Summer & Autumn painted in a feigned ovals. One depicted crowned with a wreath of corn and flowers, holding a sickle in one hand with a wheat sheaf in the other. The representation of autumn dressed in finery with a wreath of vine, holding aloft a bunch of grapes dripping juice into a gilded gobet, 38” x 28” (97 cm x 71 cm). Contained in a moulded ebonised frames with gilt slip, 45¾” x 35¾” (116 cm x 91 cm).
