An Imposing 18th Century Overmantel Portrait of Queen Anne, set in a Mirrored Giltwood Frame. The oval head & shoulders portrait painted on canvas and depicting the royal subject wearing a crown, pearls and a jewel encrusted robe, contained in a moulded Lely style frame centring an elaborate pierced rectangular surround profusely carved with undulating scrolls of crested acanthus and incorporating eight mirrored panels: two oval to the top and bottom, two round left and right, and four rectangular to the corners. The frame attached to a pink velvet clad mount, 78” (198 cm) high, 58¾” (149 cm) wide.
