Two Antique Dark Stained Relief Carved Panels: One emblazoned with a pair of bearded figures with animal ears, their legs metamorphosing onto sprays of foliage; placed back to back blowing horns hung with flags, framed by a carved border of leafy lappets, 13¾” x 19¼” (35 cm x 49 cm). The other depicting a large scallop shell crowned by a trident to the centre flanked by mermen, defined against a pitted ground within a raised, facet cut band and broad border, 14” x 19¾” (35.5 cm x 50 cm).
