A 19th Century Dutch Marquetry Serpentine-front Demi-lune Card Table. The hinged, fold-over top elaborately inlaid with an urn cascading flowers to the centre, birds perched amongst the foliage and butterflies flitting around exuberant scrolls of acanthus within a chequer band and floral sprays trailing around the border. The top folding over to reveal a green baize inset playing surface. The frieze housing two small bow front drawers flanked by serpentine drawers marquetried with further flowers & foliage and standing on three sweeping cabriole legs with carved embellishments, with a fourth leg to the rear pulling out to support the leaf. 29” (74 cm) high, 33” (84 cm) wide, 15” (38 cm) deep.
