The tall rectangular back and sprung seat covered in 17th century tapestry fragments edged with braid and brass studs. The down-swept arms with acanthus carved scroll terminals. The turned and tapering legs adorned with carved knops and leafy collars above a moulded wavy X-form stretcher surmounted by a central finial, raised on gadrooned feet. 49½” (126 cm) high, 25” (64 cm) wide.
