A 17th Century Joined Oak Credence Table. The planked, fold-over demi-lune top on rule hinges above a canted base. The frieze enriched with a repeat design of carved strap-work lunettes defined against a recessed pitted ground and housing a drawer to the centre with turned knop handle, set above an arcaded apron. Standing on turned columnar legs headed by stop-fluting and united by peripheral stretchers, with a plain swing-out gate to the back to support the fold-over leaf. 32” (81 cm) high [folded], 43” (109 cm) in diameter.
