The rectangular back and seat covered in wool-work tapestry stitched with opulent displays of fruit in baskets within scrolling gros-point surrounds edged with tasseled fringe. The down-swept arms enriched with sprays of acanthus and flower heads to the scrolled terminals, raised on barley-twist posts. Standing on barley-twist legs with a high twin-baluster knopped spiral turned rail to the front and conforming H-form under-stretcher, 45½” (115 cm) high, 24” (61 cm) wide.
