A Decorative 19th Century Carved & Gessoed Polychrome & Parcel Gilt Painted Blackamoor Console Table. The mirrored demi-lune top set in a moulded border incised with undulating leaf garlands and ropetwist above a scalloped canopy edge, held aloft by a female figure depicted kneeling on a marblised octagonal base spread with a patterned gilt cloth. The figure wearing an embellished gilt turban and corset wrapped in a red tasseled drape, with golden arm band and collaret. 35½” (90 cm) high, 31½” (80 cm) wide, 19¾” (50 cm) deep.
