Description
A Set of Three 16th Century French Walnut Terms. The relief carved caryatids in the form of a female and two males: their gathered robes looped up to the front and tied in a bow above a tapering pilaster with scrolled terminals. The female wearing a floral hair band, and adorned with a pendant garland of fruit and flowers to the pillar. The bare-chested Moresque males having curly beards and wearing helmets embellished with scrollwork, 35” (89 cm) high, 5½” (14 cm) wide.
