A Pair of 19th Century Carved Giltwood Armchairs. The upholstered back and sprung seats covered in aubusson tapestry (A/F) woven with cartouche panels of pink roses in an broad ivory border and pink ground edged with braid. The moulded gilt frame with domed top rails crested by a cartouche surmount, pierced scroll finials to the uprights, and scroll end arms with padded elbow rests and carved acanthus to the terminals. Standing on fluted legs, 44½” (113 cm) high, 25” (63 cm) wide.
