A Rare 16th Century Catalonian Wrought Iron ‘Calvary’ Candelabra. The central pricket on a square section stem with reeded knop adornment, upswept arms bearing wrapped candle sockets above a round tray base mounted with two further candle holders, raised on three strap legs, 20” (51 cm) in height. The piece of symbolic design probably representing Christ crucified between the two thieves, with the Virgin and Saint John at the foot of the cross.
