The top rail with lobe cut terminals above a tall shaped centre splat flanked by six long spindles piercing through the arm-bow, with two further long spindles angled down to a wedge projecting from the rear of the seat, six underarm spindles and bent-wood end supports. The elm seat on turned legs united by an H-form stretcher, 40½ in (103 cm) high, 20½ in (52 cm) wide.
