Description
A Carved Oak Tudor Pilaster, Two Oak Pelmets and a frieze rail. The baluster turned pilaster tapering to the top and carved with layered leaves, stop fluting & reeding 55” (140 cm) in height. One pelmet enriched with repeated carved Gothic tracery quatrefoils in roundels 3½” (9 cm) high, 45” (114 cm) in width, 6½” (16 cm) deep. The other carved with gadrooning and centred by a 16th century lion mask 5” (13 cm) high, 46” (117 cm) wide, 4½” (11.5 cm) deep. The rail incised and carved with geometric roundels enhanced with punchwork 5” (13 cm) x 49” (125 cm) in length.
