A Large 19th Century Bronze & Silvered-metal Louis XVI Style Mantel Clock. The movement striking a bell with a black enamelled dial marked with white enamelled Roman numerals in scrolling cartouches. The case surmounted by sprays of laurel, a horn & book, and flanked by the figures of two seated winged cherubs; one with a lyre, the other and quill & scroll. The long rectangular base with beaded trim, foliate cast paterae adorning the corners, and a decorative trophy with floral medallion tied with fluttering ribbon adorning the centre. 18” (46 cm) high, 33” (84 cm) wide, 9” (23 cm) deep.
