A Rare Pair of Fine Charles II Carved Walnut Chairs, with caned backs and upholstered seats (now lacking the upholstery) standing on a turned barley twist supports with carved S-scroll ‘Briganza’ legs to the fronts. The caned back panels in carved frames enriched with ball-flowers & foliage displayed against a pitted ground, and flanked by barley twist uprights with turned finials surmounts. The legs united by high barley-twist stretcher to the front and rear, with similarly turned H-form under-stretchers. Good colour and patination.
