A 17th Century Boarded Oak Box of rectangular form. The hand cut lid with moulded edge on wire loop hinges. The front board carved with a pair of rosette roundels in square panels with fleur-de-lys spandrels and palmate carved divides, between applied strips of moulding. The sides similarly decorated. The piece standing on square facet cut feet, 6¼” (16 cm) high, 9½” (24 cm) wide, 5½” (14 cm) deep.*
