The 8” (20 cm) wide brass dial engraved with maker’s name with a roundel to the break-arch top inscribed Joseph Neighbours Bristol (Clock & watch maker 1743-75) flanked by sprays of engraved flowers with further sprays ornamenting the spandrels. The engraved chapter ring encircling a single pierced hand and alarum. The 30 hour movement striking a bell.
