A Late 17th/Early 18th Century Domed Topped Wool-work Chest on Walnut Stand. The chest edged with brass studs and fitted with iron swing handles each ends with an ornate, pierced gilt brass escutcheon and mount to the front, cast in the form of an urn of tulips embellished with chased details, 12½” (32 cm) high, 24” (61 cm) wide, 15¾” (40 cm) deep. The stand housing a moulded frieze drawer raised on six turned legs with decorative ebonised knops, united by moulded peripheral stretchers and terminating on ebonised ball feet.
