A 19th Century Neo-Gothic ‘Pyx’ Candleholder, The hexagonal body with recessed panels to the sides framing relief cast gilt angels standing with their hands held in prayer. The hinged lid edged with a crenulated gallery and tapering up to a gilded quatrefoil finial. The waisted hexagonal pedestal adorned with a belt of gilt balls. The interior housing a candle socket, 9¾” (24.5 cm) in height.
