An 18th Century Carved Coquilla Nut Snuff Box. The hinged cushion lid intricately carved in relief with a draped cross to the centre amidst scrolls of foliage, and a reclining dog to the front in cross-hatched borders, The underside emblazoned with a trophy of love. The pierced end pieces carved with entwined foliage, 1½” (4 cm) high, 4” (10 cm) in length, 2” (5 cm) deep.
