A Rare 17th Century Choir Stall with Misericords from the Chapel of Château de Colombes, once the home of Henrietta Maria, wife of Charles I of England. The flat moulded top capping two panel-backed seats with richly carved S-scroll divides adorned with winged cherub heads to the fronts and sprays of lilies emanating from the voluted terminals to the interiors with foliate garlands festooned to the external sides. The hinged seats rising to reveal carved misericords: a flaming heart hung from chain above twinned laurel sprays to one, and a plumed fleur-de-lis to the other. 41¾” (106 cm) high, 51” (130 cm) wide, 17” (43 cm) deep.
