A 16th Century & Later Wood Carving of Saint Martha and the Tarasque with traces of residual polychrome. Martha depicted wearing a wimple and long draped robe, standing in contra pose holding aloft a cross (now missing) and holy water pail with the Tarasque chained to the handle. The Tarasque having replacement wings. The carving mounted on a moulded base 19½” (50 cm) in height.
