Description
A 19th Century Empire Style Flame Mahogany Escritoire with gilt bronze mounts. The upper frieze drawer above a panelled fall front enclosing a fitted interior of drawers, pigeon holes and writing surface. The three long drawers below flanked turned columns mounted with decorative gilt collars cast with vitruvian waves, standing on carved lion paw feet with gilt ball finials to the top. 61” (155 cm) high (excluding finials), 40½” (103 cm) wide, 20¼” (51.5 cm) deep.
