A Small 16th/17th Century Flemish Joined Oak Coffer. The planked lid with cleated ends on iron strap hinges opening to reveal a lidded candle box to one side and a ledge to the back. The twin panel facade carved with linen fold decoration to the panels and fitted with a sprung lock & key with an iron heart shaped escutcheon. Standing on sledge feet 13” (33 cm) high, 22½” (58 cm) wide, 14” (36 cm) deep.*
