A Rare Near Pair of 17th Century Joined Oak Armchairs. The plain top rails above broad pierced & shaped centre splats flanked by S-scroll carved uprights surmounted with turned urn finials. The scroll end arms embellished with bands of incised decoration, on baluster turned posts. The solid seats with moulded edges above serpentine cut rails and baluster legs united by peripheral stretchers and terminating on turned feet, 43” (109 cm) high, 22¾” (58 cm) wide, 22” (56 cm) deep.
