The interior containing an original compass pivoting on an pointed brass spike, with a removable boxwood ring at it’s base locking the compass dial, signed ‘Spenser & Co No 66 Wapping’, The dial protected by brown felt lining to the lid. 2” (5 cm) high, 2¾” (6.9 cm) in diameter.
