A Fine Late 17th/Early 18th Century Carved Walnut Daniel Marot inspired High Back Chair. The pierced back splats intricately carved with scrolling strapwork, flowers and foliage beneath a foliate crested top rail, and flanked by multi-knopped uprights leading down to an upholstered green velour seat edged with tassels. The ball knopped legs united by a wavy X-form stretchers, 51½” (131 cm) high, 20” (51 cm) wide.
