The plate delicately painted in coloured enamels with an intricately detailed figural scene to the centre within a diaper-work border interspersed with scenic cartouches depicted in pinks and alternated with floral vignettes. The pierced gilt bronze rim mount held in the mouths of three reeded S-scroll monopods crested with crested acanthus and festooned in garlands of swagged fruiting vine, 5” (13 cm) in height, 10¼” (26 cm) in diameter.
