A 16th/17th Century Nuremberg Style Nest of Weights having eight graduated cup weights stacking inside a bucket form container. The flat hinged lid with stamped marks, ‘ropetwist’ stringing to the rim, fitted with a zoomorphic swing handle and hinged hasp. The sides adorned with bands of punch-work divided by rope-twist seams, 5” (13b cm) high [handle up], 4” (10 cm) in diameter.
