A Superb, Charles I English Oak Canted Court / Livery Cupboard of unusually small proportions, having a rich colour and patination. The thin planked top above a canopy frieze enriched with lunette carving and supported in rising baluster turned front posts enhanced by reel and discoid knop turning, flanking the trapezoid cupboard. The central panel door carved with a lozenge design and stylised fleur-de-lis embellishments, set in a moulded framework above a long frieze drawer of scrolling arabesque carving. The run-moulded rear stiles and rising baluster front posts leading down to a plinth base, 47” (120 cm) high, 42½” (108 cm) wide, 15” (38 cm) deep.
