Description
An Impressive 19th Century Carved & Panelled Settle, in the 17th century style. The back composed of two rows of seven panels carved with lozenges & triangular spandrels alternated with flower heads on guilloche quatrefoils beneath a lunette carved top rail with guilloche bands adorning the framework. The swept arms having carved animal terminals raised on baluster posts leading down to the long plank seat above a guilloche seat rail and six legs with baluster turning to the front legs and peripheral stretchers, 55½” (141 cm) high, 110½” (281 cm) wide, 17” (43 cm) deep.
