A Vintage German Oak Longcase Clock with Alarum striking Kaifer gong. The 10¾” (27 cm) square silvered dial marked with a ring of black Roman numerals counting the hours, inscribed ‘Dag’ ‘Afton’ Natt’ & ‘Morgan’ to the quarters, and layered with two graduated revolving dials; the outer larger one marked with twenty-four hour divisions, the inner one with 60 divisions, centred by a gilt sunburst. The oak case having a full length door with glazed octagonal dial aperture above bevelled glass panels to the trunk, 83” (211 cm) high, 16” (41 cm) wide. The two weights and pendulum clad in silvered metal with decorative designs; the weights capped with brass.
