A 19th Century French Brass Inlaid Ebonised Box of rectangular form; the hinged lid inset with a scrolling cartouche engraved E.B.C., the lockplate signed COIGNARD 18 Rue Chapon Paris, 5” (13 cm) high, 13” (33 cm) wide, 9” (23 cm) deep. The box housing a collection of miscellaneous: A spotted gourd with white metal mount and tripod base. A slip-ware tile with speckled sepia, burnt sienna & ivory marbled glaze, 5” (13 cm) square. A small 19th century ceramic hat modelled at a straw boater (brim A/F) 4” x 3 (10.5 cm x 9 cm).A 20th century Japanese style carved wooden face mask of a laughing man, 5” (13 cm) high. A string of large ovoid faux amber rosary beads with a orange silk pendant tassel, two resin ‘goblin head appliqués. A paper model of a bee in a hexagonal lidded box.
