Description
An 18th Century Lacquered Longcase Clock with eight day movement. The arched 11¾” dial having a painted rocking ship to the arch above a strike/silent slide, silvered chapter ring encircling a matted brass centre with seconds ring, calendar aperture and plaque inscribed W. Clement Feversham No. 30. The corners adorned with scrolling face masks spandrels. The case painted in raised gilt lacquers with chinoiserie decoration on a blue/black ground. The domed cavetto moulded hood surmounted by three spired ball giltwood finials, 92” (234 cm) high.
