Description
A Mid 17th Century Joined Oak Stool with an upholstered rectangular top with original rope supports underneath, covered in a later chenille depicting figures; a milk maid, fisher-boy etc in landscape with house, trees and squirrel on a blue ground edged with brass studs. The repeat ball turned legs united by ball turned stretchers to the front and back with pairs of plain rails to the side, 21½” (55 cm) high, 19” (48 cm) wide, 16” (41 cm) deep.*
