A Fine, Early 17th Century Raeren Stoneware Flagon dated 1602. The hinged pewter lid engraved with initials JJ flanked by floral sprigs and stamped with a shield mark to the underside. The bulbous body having an arcaded frieze intricately moulded in relief with the busts of seven eminent gentlemen above armorial crests and dated 1602. The cylindrical neck enriched with renaissance style ornamentation. Chip to rim, 10½” (27 cm) in height.
