A 17th Century Oak Dome-topped Coffret. The lid on decoratively pierced iron strap hinges above a rectangular through dove-tail jointed box on moulded base, with iron corner brackets to the corners, swing carrying handles to the sides and a sprung pincer action lock to the front with scroll escutcheon & key. The metalware retaining traces of residual red paintwork, 12¼” (31 cm) high, 20¾” (53 cm) wide, 11” (28 cm) deep.
