A Group of 19th Century & Later Treen Containers, Watch Makers items etc: To include; a Victorian turned boxwood jar with waisted sides and a round screw on lid centred by a circular recess housing an 1866 farthing set behind glass and secured in place by a screw-in moulded ring, 1½” (4 cm) in height, 2¼” (5.5 cm) in diameter. A turned yew-wood lidded shallow pot with curved base, lid and waisted sides, 2¼” (6 cm) in diameter. A small round turned nutshell salve pot with screw on lid, 1½” (4 cm) in diameter. A turned bottle case 4” (10 cm) in height. A shallow lignum vitae dish with a fixed glass dome top with central aperture, 2” (6 cm) in diameter. Two nesting stacks of flared boxwood collars; a set of seven with incised ring turning to the sides; the largest ¾” (2 cm) in hight, 2” (5 cm) in diameter, and a set of six the largest 1” (2.5 cm) high, 2” (5 cm) diameter. A pair of lignum vitae rings flat on one side, moulded on the other, with a screw thread running around the aperture, 2¾” (7 cm) in diameter, and a small shallow lignum dish 1½” (4 cm) in diameter. A boxwood syringe case 5” (13 cm) in length. A wooden peg 4½” (11.5 cm) in length. A pair of ebony turned flared ‘cornets’, 4½” (11.5 cm) in height. Three turned boxwood lidded jars of cylindrical form; a needle case with raised ‘nipple’ to the lid 3¼” 8 cm) high, 1” (2.5 cm) in diameter, a box with screw-on dome lid, 2¾” (7 cm) high, 2¼” (6 cm) in diameter, and another 3” (7.5 cm) high, 3” (7.5 cm) in diameter.
