An Attractive 19th Century Agate Casket with gilt metal mounts, lock and key. The rectangular box having a hinged bevel-edged lid with gilt trim band ornamented with repeated anthemion motifs. The sides adorned with similar bands and having spire pinnacles to the corners above speckled ball feet. The front centred by a scrolling strap-work escutchon. 2½” (6.5 cm) high, 4¼” (11 cm) wide, 2¾” (7 cm) deep.
