A Charming 19th Century Sampler by Eliza Botttomley, Aged 11 1830 (A/F). Worked in coloured silks with baskets of flowers, trees, plants and birds around verse; ‘Give me a calm, a thankful heart, From every murmer free, The blessings of thy grace impart, And make me live to thee. Let the sweet hope that thou art mine, My life and death attend, Thy presence thro’ my journey shine, And crown my journeys end’ bordered by an undulating trail of rose buds and contained in a mahogany veneered frame 19¾” x 16½” (50 cm x 42 cm).
