Description
A Qing Dynasty Blue & White Porcelain Kendi with white metal mounts. The bulbous body painted with pagodas in river landscapes within quatrefoil panels either side amidst sprays of prunus, lotus and peonies, with smaller sprays to the onion shaped spout, ruyi lappets at the shoulders and plantain leaves rising up the flared neck. The outswept rim with a band of trellis and spearheads to the interior. The stoppered metal lid mount decorated with radial reeding and surmounted by a petalled knop fitted with chain, 9½” (24 cm) in height, 11” (28 cm) with mount.
