Sewill with London hallmarks for 1890 and maker’s punch for John Woodman, along with an Albert chain with T-bar, dog clip and silver fob engraved Mansfield CC with 1899 presentation inscription stamped with Birmingham hallmarks for 1897 and James Fenton maker’s punch. The open face watch having a white enamel dial signed in the upper centre: ”J. Sewill, 30 Cornhill, London”, with black Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, blued hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The movement having a three-quarter plate and blued screws, signed: ”J. Sewill, 30 Cornhill, London, 61 South Castle Street, Liverpool”. The case with engraved inscription to the curvette ”To Arthur Carder, On Attaining his Majority. 17th Sept 1896, From His Father”. 2” (5 cm) in diameter [115.4 g].
