Description
A Fine George III Mahogany Chest with Bookcase. The upper section surmounted by an atchitectural fretted trellis work broken-arch pediment with dentil moulding flanking a carved parcel gilt scallop shell finial above two mirror panelled doors. The interior fitted with stationary racks, pigeon holes a central cupboard and drawers. The base chest having a brushing slide over two short and three long cock-beaded drawers standing on bracket feet, with gilt brass swing handles on ornately cast foliate mounts, and brass lined keyholes, 87½” (222 cm) high, 39” (99 cm) wide, 20½” (52 cm) deep.
