The rectangular cleated top with a bank of small drawers to one side and a cabinet with letter racks to the other side, connected by a pierced panel back of elaborately carved blossom. The desk having two frieze drawers raised on cabriole legs carved with winged demon heads bearing baskets of fruit in their mouth and terminating on stylised ball & claw feet, 46 in (117 cm) high, 30½ in (78 cm) wide, 21½ in (55 cm) deep.
