Description
An Antique Walnut Veneered Cupboard on Stand. The cavetto moulded cornice above a large moulded panel door clad inside and out with figured walnut veneers inlaid with feather banding in a cross banded border. The door fitted with an engraved brass escutcheon with lock & key enclosing a fabric lined interior with two serpentine shelves edged with braid. The frieze housing a long drawer with three pendant brass handles on petalled mounts. The stand having a serpentine skirt, raised on inverted cup knopped legs tapering down to a wavy X-form stretcher and terminating on squat bun feet, 78” (201 cm) high, 40” (102 cm) wide, 22” (56 cm) deep.
