The round top enriched with a central marquetry roundel of scrollwork & anthemion motifs, radiating stems issuing palmettes and framed by a broad border of undulating foliage incorporating Greek mythological figures in oval vignettes. The inlaid frieze housing four drawers and raised on an octagonal centre column and four scrolling out-swept supports, above sabre legs with brass lion paw caps, 30 in (76 cm) high, 51½ in (131 cm) in diameter.
